NL 01 Principles of Marxist – Leninism
According to the program issued Decision No. 52/2008 / QD-BGDĐT September 18, 2008 of the Ministry of Education and Training.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Explain the content of owners dialectical materialism, historical materialism, doctrine of the content of value, doctrine of surplus value, doctrine of monopoly capitalism and monopoly capitalism the state.
  • Explain the historical mission of the working class and the socialist revolution.
  • Examine political issues - social regularity in the process of socialist revolution.
  • Understand the definition and prospects of socialist realism.
  • Raise self-awareness and knowledge accumulation.
  • Understand methods of critical thinking.
  • Explain problems in a systematic way.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage time and resources.
  • Understand how to negotiate, compromise and settle disputes

 

ĐL 01 Revolution Policy of Vietnam Communist Party

The course equips students with awareness: The role of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the process of building and protecting the country experienced during the Vietnam revolutionary leadership over time. Also offers panoramic innovation and critical awareness of Party policy since 1986 through the last party congress period.

The lesson of this experience is the basis for the consolidation of patriotic education, ethnic pride and sense of responsibility of the learner in building confidence in the leadership of the party in the context of the current integration. At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Identify objects, tasks and research methods of Revolutionary policy of the Vietnamese Communism Party.
  • Explain the birth of the Communist Party.
  • Explain the policy of resistance against the French colonialists and American imperialists invaded (1945 - 1975).
  • Explain the policy of industrialization, the way to build a socialist-oriented market economy, the policy of building political system and the policy of building and developing culture, addressing social issues.

TT 01 Ho Chi Minh Ideology

The course introduce students to Ho Chi Minh Ideology of revolutionary nationalism and national liberation; socialism and the path of transition to socialism in Vietnam; ethnic solidarity, national strength combined with the power of the era; Communist Party of Vietnam; to build state-of the people, by the people, for the people; ethics, humanities and culture.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the origin, formation and development process, objects, tasks and the meaning of learning Ho Chi Minh Ideology.
  • Explain Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts about ethnic issues and the national liberation revolution
  • Explain Ho Chi Minh’s ideology about solidarity among ethic groups, national strength combined with power era.
  • Explain Ho Chi Minh’s ideology about the Viet Nam  Communist Party and the government of people, by people and the people.
  • Explain the ideology, ethics, humanities and culture of Ho Chi Minh.

PL 01 Fundamental of Law

This course provides students with the basic knowledge of the state and the law, Vietnamese legal system, types of legal documents as well as liability issues of law implementation citizens and handle infringement. Thereby teaching students a sense of responsibility to abide by the laws of the Communist Party and Government.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Describe the social phenomena related to the operation of the state as well as the phenomenon of law in social activities.
  • Explain the nature of the state and the law through the operation of the state apparatus as well as construction activities, enact and conduct law.
  • Apply legal knowledge of the Constitution, the Administrative Law, the Penal Code – Criminal Procedure, the Civil Procedure Law to handle socio-economic activities involving violations of the law and legal liability.
  • Detect and identify problems.
  • Accept differences and fairness. 
  • Negotiate, compromise and resolve conflicts.

TO 05 Advanced Mathematics

This course equips students with the mathematical tools of differentiation, integrals, matrices, determinants as the basis for calculations and applications in the analysis of econometric models. The first part of the course equipped with the introductory knowledge of Linear Algebra and some basic applications of Linear Algebra in the economy, especially the Master Plan.  Part 2 equipped with knowledge of calculus functions of several variables, multiple profile integrals and differential equations, the basic applications of calculus in one variable and many economic variables.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Calculate and solve the basic form of Linear Algebra exercise and linear programming (Master Plan).
  • Calculate and solve the most basic form of exercise in calculus function of two variables, the double integral, basic equations 1, 2.
  • Apply one or more variables to solve a number of problems in the economy.
  • Interpret and induce mathematical calculations to selected problems arising in various fields such as physical modeling, economics and population dynamics.

TO 03 Theory of Statistics

This course provides students with basic statistical methods, analysis of statistical indicators to be applied in a number of quantitative courses, and students can apply the methodologies Statistics and analysis on economic research - social.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the basic statistical methods.
  • Analyze statistical indicators to apply in a number of quantitative courses

KT 06 Micro-Economics

This course equips students with basic principles of micro-economics in the market economy regulated by government. It also helps students understand the behavior of businesses and individuals in business and production activities and consumer, giving them tools to analyze and describe the economic activity, the application of statistical techniques and mathematical economics, the theory to construct the economic model.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Indicate the contents of the economics and its fundamental problems, apply them in practical situations.
  • Explain the contents related to the market, supply and demand, and market equilibrium and apply it to practical problems solving.

This course equips students with the theories, basic principles of macro-economics in the market economy regulated by government and helps students understand the tools of macro-economic policies. At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Explain and analyze the situation and impact of government policies regulating macroeconomics.
  • Identify the determinants of total supply and total demand and apply to problem solving.
  • Define and measure national income in case studies and practical problems.
  • Know how to measure national income in case studies and practical problems.
  • Explain fiscal policy, foreign trade policy and resolve case studies and practical problems.
  • Understand banking and monetary policy and resolve case studies and practical problems.

KK 01 Fundamental of Accounting

This course is an introduction to the basic concepts and standards underlying financial accounting systems. Several important concepts will be studied in detail, including: revenue recognition, inventory, long-lived assets, present value, and long term liabilities. The course emphasizes the construction of the basic financial accounting statements - the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement - as well as their interpretation.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of accounting nature and its object.
  • Draw from financial information to construct accounting documents.
  • Understand the methods of keeping accounts.
  • Identify and describe terms associated with accounting.

QT 01 Fundamental of Management

This course will enable students to develop short and long-range plans to effectively accomplish organizational goals. Through the use of terminology, exercises and case studies, students know how to give a critical appraisal of real life situations involving organizing, staffing and motivating others. The student will also learn tools to aid in problem solving, valuing diversity and coping with change.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Understand what management is, who are the managers and what do managers do.
  • Analyze the structure and characteristics of the business.

KT 02 Econometrics

The course presents a way for students to apply basic principles of the theories and econometric tools for decision making and forecasting business issues.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate theoretical background for the standard methods used in empirical analyses, like properties of least squares estimators and the statistical testing of hypothesis.
  • Conduct elementary procedures for model validation in the single equation context.
  • Interpret coefficients in simple and multiple regression model.
  • Interpret assumptions and BLUE.
  • Choose the correspondent functional form.
  • Apply dummy variables and interaction variables in model.
  • Discover violated assumptions in model.

TK 01 Statistical Practice

This course provides a systematic theoretical and practical application of methods including conducting statistical surveys to collect information about economic phenomena, processing data; application of economic analysis - society as a basis for predicting the extent of the phenomenon in the future in order to make decisions in economic management.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Collect, organize, summarize, and present data and statistical modeling problems.
  • Calculate the sample size appropriate with research requirements.
  • Estimate the probability of specific scenarios in the business.
  • Understand the meaning and level of accuracy of the figures.

LU 01 Economic Law

The course helps students understand common issues related to economic contracts as contracting, effect and dispute resolution, and to distinguish the type of business organizations according to economic law.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Explain the content of Business Type Law and Contract Law and Investment Law as well as Corruption.
  • Relate from theory to practice (knowing how to apply the law into the practical cases toward business operations).
  • Attain and improve skills on: Applied Information Technology, Analysis on International Economics Policies

TC 10 Theory of Finance and Monetary

This course examines the basic theories and concepts of international finance and open economy macroeconomics. Topics include: foreign exchange market, exchange rate determination, balance of payments, interest and exchange rate arbitrage, speculation and hedging. Macroeconomic policy under fixed and flexible exchange rates in an open economy will also be discussed. Additionally, the international debt problem, foreign direct investment will also be discussed.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Define and describe the concept and functions of financial markets.
  • Critically comprehend and demonstrate knowledge regarding to state budget, corporate finance, insurance, credit, monetary and currency circulation, financial markets.
  • Apply knowledge into assessment of issues relating to state budget, corporate finance, insurance, credit, monetary and currency circulation, financial markets.
  • Assess and troubleshoot problems associated with monetary policy in local and global contexts.

KT 20 International Economics

This course provides advanced knowledge to students of international economics. On that basis, student acquires knowledge as a theoretical basis for the research projects in the field of foreign and economic policy for the development of international economic relations of Vietnam.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Apply the international trade theory to determine the origination, model and benefits of international trade
  • Determine the impact of the tariff and non-tariff tools.
  • Determine the impact of the international economic confederates.
  • Explain / infer the impact of international resources migration.
  • Recognize the concepts and basics of the forex market and exchange rate.
  • Accept differences and fairness.
  • Recognize the impact of international economic activities on social life and environment.

 MA 01 Fundamental of Marketing

The course equips students with basic knowledge about the market, product and consumer behavior. It also provides students with methods of market research; methods of brand valuation, strategy formulation and branding; how to organize distribution channels and customer service; how to build organizations plan, implement and control the marketing yearly.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Define marketing concepts and the basic functions of marketing for business.
  • Apply knowledge of the market segmentation, target marketing, positioning, consumers and businesses behaviors, product/service planning, pricing, distribution.
  • Construct a marketing plan for a specific product/service.
  • Gather information, synthesize and systematize information for analysis.
  • Evaluate a marketing plan of a business.

KD 03 International Business

This course gives students the knowledge and basic understanding of international business, scientific, systematic and updated information to the extent possible with the changes taking place every day in the environment and international business activities.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Analyze the impacts of global and country environmental factors on firms’ international business operations.
  • Identify the fundamental issues about strategy toward businesses.
  • Search, collect and analyze data, and develop a specific firm’s preliminary strategy/plan for foreign expansion.
  • Update social economic knowledge affecting to firms doing business in international settings.
  • Recognize corporate social responsibility and environment of international business firms.
  • Demonstrate skills of forming and operating team effectively, and skills of searching and collecting primary and secondary data.
  • Apply electronic and multimedia means to practice effective group oral presentation.

KY 01 Foreign Trade Techniques

The course provides students with foreign trade skill in a systematic, scientific and complete way. The content includes: basic understanding of international commercial terms (Incoterms); international payment and how to prevent risks in international payments; contract drafting technique import and export, international outsourcing contracts; technical documentation established in the business of import and export; how to organize business contracts imports and exports; method declaration and customs clearance for imports and exports.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Apply international commercial terms to the transactions of international trade.
  • Apply government policies to the transactions of international trade.
  • Analyze types of international transactions to determine appropriate type of international transaction.
  • Draft sales contract for international trade.
  • Prepare and check shipping documents in international trade.
  • Perform processing steps of import-export goods.
  • Practice electronic customs declaration for import-export goods (VNACCS-VCIS.ECUS5).

LU 05 International Trade Contract Law

The course gives students the necessary knowledge of contract law through legal analysis of Vietnam in comparison with the laws of the country and with reality. On that basis, it equips students with legal skills in negotiating, drafting, signing and implementing contracts in international business. At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the overview of international commercial contracts
  • Understand and apply trade contracts in practice.
  • Understand and apply real sanctions for breach of contract in international trade
  • Understand and apply the practical resolution of disputes arising from international commercial contracts.
  • Understand and apply the actual contract international trade of goods.
  • Understand and apply actual mediation in international trade.

QT 17 Supply Chain Management

This course aims to help students understand the concepts related to logistics, logistics management, logistics applications in global business operations of multinational companies. At the end of the course students can understand the designs, operations, inspections and control logistics chains in manufacturing operations global business.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Identify the supply chain management; logistics system management.
  • Understand the application of supply chain management and logistics.
  • Understand the leaning of supply chain to obtain the optimizing system.

VT 01 International Transportation and Cargo Insurance

This course provides students with professional knowledge for international sea transport, air or multi-modal transportation and logistics. Besides the international conventions, international law sources and adjusts Vietnam relations in the mode of transport. In the Import and Export Cargo Insurance part provides basic knowledge about insurance; the conditions of the Insurance Association of Insurance and London Insurance Company of Vietnam.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Reflect upon core knowledge about Transportation, International transportation, Transportation by Sea, by Air, by Container, other means, Multi-modals and cargo insurance in foreign trade
  • Select the appropriate transport means for foreign trade
  • Calculate the exercises in FCL and LCL methods by sea, Transportation by Air, other means and multi-modals transportation
  • Practice the international transport procedures for FCL and LCL methods by sea, Transportation by Air, other means and multi-modals transportation

KT 23 International Economic Relations

The course provides basic knowledge to students on issues of international economic relations and modern perspective, lines, principles and policies of external economic development of Vietnam in regional trends of, internationalization and globalization of the world economy today.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Analyze the external economic policies based on characteristics and basic principles of external economic relations.
  • Analyze the impact of the world economic situation to economic development, international economic relations of Vietnam.
  • Distinguish the characteristics of international economic integration and its impact on Vietnam economy.
  • Define the role of economic-finance institutions in international economic relations of Vietnam.
  • Distinguish specific situation of international trade in the world, proposals for trading in Vietnam.
  • Identify the characteristics of international trade policy and propose directions for Vietnam.
  • Differentiate the service characteristics of international trade, trade policy and international service-oriented proposals for Vietnam

TN 03 International Finance

This course provides theories and basic models in the field of international finance and international financial policy. After the course students learn to understand, analyze, evaluate policies related to the field of international finance such as exchange rate policy, monetary policy, trade policy, etc.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the principles, theories of international finance.
  • Review and analyze the monetary policy, exchange rate policy, and international trade policy.
  • Resolve problems of exchange rate risk management in international business and foreign exchange market.
  • Make decisions under conditions of uncertainty.
  • Improve the awareness of globalization.

TN 09 Project Appraisals and Management

This course covers basic theoretical principles and the practical applications of the administration and evaluation of investment projects. The course will be divided into two main parts. The first part of the course will address the evaluation of investment projects, with particular emphasis on the financial appraisal of investment projects; the second part of the course will focus on management of investment projects. Concepts covered include process groups from initiation through closure; techniques for estimating and reporting; management of risk, quality, resources, and communications; earned value analysis; agile and extreme methods.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Identify the concept of project, project appraisal and the content of each stage of project management
  • Evaluate the financial feasibility of a project.
  • Establish a simple Project Charter.
  • Establish a simple Project plan
  • Identify how to implement a project 
  • Identify the processes of project completion
  • Apply logical thinking, system thinking and critical thinking to consider and solve problems
  • Demonstrate an ability to manage time and resources

GT 04 Negotiation in Business

This course provides skills to negotiate with colleagues, bosses, clients, other stakeholders, and external groups of all kinds. Business negotiation course equips business students who study foreign economic relations with basic knowledge of theory and methodology of negotiation: the technical and negotiation skills business judgment, perceptions and insights on the art of negotiation.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Identify the different phases of negotiation and understand what is involved in preparing for negotiation.
  • Identify a range of different styles and techniques of negotiations and understand the significance of body language.
  • Identify the use of conflict in negotiations and conflict resolution.
  • Develop an effective negotiating plan.
  • Know how to evaluate and review a negotiation.

NH 04 International Payment

The course covers basic knowledge about the exchange rate and exchange rate policies, the international means of payment, the international payment methods, foreign trade operations and funding activities of the bank guarantee related goods import and export activities.

This course will provide students with the skills and professional practice related to international payments: implementation of international payment services, funding operations in trade, bank guarantees related import and export, insurance funds import and export, etc.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Define the role and function of the subjects involved in international payment activities.
  • Classify transactions relating to each type of international payment voucher (commercial documents, financial documents).
  • Draft international trade documents (bills of exchange, promissory notes, and certain letters of credit).
  • Distinguish different modes of payment (advance, carrying, transfer, collection and letter of credit) based on the concepts, the role of individual actors, processes, operations, application cases, advantages - and disadvantages of each entity.
  • Apply the appropriate type of letter of credit for each specific case.
  • Critically comprehend legal documents related to the international payment activities: Negotiable Instruments Law, the Ordinance on Foreign Exchange, URC 522, ULB in 1930, UCP 600, ISBP 681, and Incoterms 2010.

 

MA 05 Export Marketing

This course equips learners with knowledge enough to be able to do marketing business on the international market, global market, namely: learn how to evaluate and select market opportunities and how the world penetrate the world market, and outline the strategies and marketing mix in specific export markets and the scope of the global market.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Differ between domestic and international marketing.
  • Analyze diversity in the political, culture, economics and finance environment in the international market.
  • Analyze and assess the market potential of a country based on multiple criteria such as politics, culture, economics and finance.
  • Develop global vision.
  • Design a marketing plan to reach the global market.

QT 07 Multinational Financial Management

The course content covers issues of financial management of multinational companies.
