Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy Tien, alumni K01. She is one of the
alumni achieve success in work and life.
Tien Nguyen is
currently a PhD candidate and a casual tutor of WOS. Her thesis – “How does board capital contribute
to firm performance?” seeks
to understand the influence of the collective human and social capital at board
level on firm financial outcomes. Tien has a background across the fields of
International business, Organizational Studies, and Corporate Governance. She
got her bachelor degree in International Business in Vietnam and her MBA in
Human Resources Management in the US. Her previous working experience includes
a teaching career at The University of Economics and Law in Vietnam, and a
variety of HR positions in Vietnam and Singapore.

2012 Australian
Development Scholarship for the PhD program, (AU$300,000).
2008 Scholarship for Outstanding Student. University of
Houston in Clear Lake, (US$9,000).
2007 Scholarship
for New student – Dollars for Scholars. University of Houston in Clear Lake,

for Best Student of Batch 10 (Rank 1st
of the Batch of 30 students) in the MBA foundation program in Vietnam - Center
of International Education – Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City,
(US$4,500).
